Already 14 years has been Limbo among the top of contemporary Czech jazz. The band is straddled with several genres, basically above them. The unusually cast quartet creates a universal musical collage on a jazz basis. Improvisation, composition, communication, and numerous ethnic names intersect significantly over the whole existence of the band without any mantinelles that would limit the musicians in expression. The trends of the band are not interested - they go their way with a clear and clear view. Their major inspiration in jazz history is the legendary band Art Ensemble of Chicago.
In 2014, the band celebrated 10 years. The LIMBO document 2004–2014 was filmed for this anniversary. Leader of the group, saxophonist Pavel Hrubý was nominated for the prestigious "Anděl" Award 2015 in the Jazz Blues category for his solo album Between The Lines (Amplion Records 2014). Limbo bass player Taras Vološčuk is an occasional teammate of world-renowned American pop singer Susan Vega when he performs in Central Europe.
